Scarlet Witch is finally breaking her silence.
Elizabeth Olsen, who had long been rumored to be playing the colorful mutant in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" until Samuel L. Jackson more or less confirmed her casting last month, spoke about the role for the first time with MTV News. She joked that Jackson had lifted the burden of secrecy surrounding her role, and said she was excited to join the Marvel Universe.
"It's so fun," she told the site, adding that she looked forward to collaborating again with her co-star in the "Godzilla" reboot, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who'll play her twin brother, Quicksilver, in "Avengers."
"[E]ven though in 'Godzilla' we play husband and wife, we don't have a lot of scenes together," Olsen said. "I just love him. I love his family. I love his kids. I'm so excited ... to actually work with each other. I think it's going to be fun."
Olsen also discussed her eagerness to collaborate with director Joss Whedon, whom she gushed over.
"He's very smart," Olsen said. " ... Some people are too smart for their own good, but he's amazing."
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" hits theaters May 1, 2015.
