Parents, get ready to hear the word "awesome" coming from your little ones' mouths about a million times after they see this TV commercial for "The Lego Movie."
Chris Pratt leads the voice cast as Emmet, a normal Lego guy who's recruited to do some not-so-normal Lego things. And those things are awesome. Like meeting Superman and Batman (Will Arnett). There's an awesome space ship, an awesome musical number, and some other awesome stuff.
OK, let's be honest. The idea of a movie about Legos sounded pretty silly when it was first announced, if not an outright craven attempt to sell toys. However, it seems like bringing writers/directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord ("Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs," "21 Jump Street") on board might make this 3D cartoon, well, kinda awesome.
"The Lego Movie" comes out on February 7, just in time to fight the winter doldrums.
