Johnny Depp's "Mortdecai," about a globe-hopping art dealer in search of Nazi gold, gained some some more familiar faces with the recent additions of Aubrey Plaza, Oliver Platt, and Jeff Goldblum to the cast.
Plaza, Platt, and Goldblum join an already-star-studded ensemble that includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor, Paul Bettany, and Olivia Munn. It's unclear who's playing who, though the film's official synopsis includes roles for "some angry Russians, the British Mi5, [Mortdecai's] impossibly leggy wife, and an international terrorist." Sounds like quite the international caper.
"Mortdecai" is based on the novels by Kyril Bonfiglioli. Production recently wrapped in London, and just picked back up in Los Angeles.
There's no release date yet.
