Often biopics, even loosely based ones, can be dull, stiff, and uninteresting.
Not so with "The Imitation Game," director Morten Tyldum's story about the life of Alan Turing. Played by Benedict Cumberbatch, Turing as a character is fascinating to watch. The supporting cast, which features Matthew Goode ("The Good Wife") and Allen Leech ("Downton Abbey"), is an essential part of keeping the film in semi-jovial territory.
Moviefone Canada spoke with Leech, Goode and Tyldum at the Toronto Film Festival, where they chatted about the gravity of a movie like this, how historically accurate their characters are, and of course, what it's like working with Cumberbatch.
