Presidents: They're just like us.
In a ceremony Monday night awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom -- the nation's highest civilian honor -- to 19 men and women, President Barack Obama revealed that, like many Americans, he's a huge fan of Meryl Streep. So much so, in fact, that she was selected to receive the medal, and was also on the receiving end of a laudatory speech from the leader of the free world.
"I love Meryl Streep," Obama said during the ceremony at the White House. "I love her. Her husband knows I love her. Michelle knows I love her. There's nothing either of them can do about it."
The president also noted that Streep "has done it all for her craft," even "sung ABBA," a nod to the actress's performance in 2008's "Mama Mia." Obama also mentioned the obvious: Streep, a three-time Oscar winner, has won a ton of awards throughout her career.
