Maybe the sun will come out tomorrow for "Annie" fans after all.
Sia's Auto-Tuned take on "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile" had some of us scratching our heads, but fans of the original musical might feel a little better after listening to the full soundtrack on Spotify.
All of the "Annie" songs received a few nips and tucks, but classics from the Broadway show, including "Maybe," "It's a Hard-Knock Life," and "Tomorrow," hew fairly close to the originals. "I Don't Need Anything But You" with Quvenzhané Wallis, Jamie Foxx, and Rose Byrne is also kind of groovy. Still and all, Cameron Diaz is no Carol Burnett, so you might want to gird yourself for her version of "Little Girls," or her duet with Bobby Cannavale on "Easy Street."
Quvenzhané Wallis knocked our socks off in "Beasts of the Southern Wild," so it's super exciting to see her headline a big Christmas-y family movie. We are also looking forward to what kind of animal accessories she'll be sporting at all the red carpet premieres.
"Annie" opens on December 19.
