Nothing good on TV? Cut your cable? Thank goodness there's plenty of fantastic TV series on Netflix.
Whether you've always meant to catch up with "The Walking Dead" or "Sons of Anarchy," or want to revisit a classic like "Miami Vice" or "Twin Peaks," they're among the many great shows available to stream right now on Netflix.

1. "Alias"
Miss when Jennifer Garner kicked ass on a regular basis? Relive her days as superspy Sydney Bristow and (in the first two seasons) Bradley Cooper as the guy who's not so secretly in love with her.
2. "Bates Motel"
Norman Bates and his mother run a hotel where people end up dying, but that's about all this series has in common with the Hitchcock movie that inspired it.
3. "Being Human"
Aidan Turner (lovestruck dwarf Kili in "The Hobbit" films) stars as a hot vampire in the British original series where he, a werewolf and a ghost share a flat and pretend to be normal humans. You can also stream the American remake.
4. "The Blacklist"
James Spader is even more fun as rogue agent Raymond Reddington than he was as unethical lawyer Alan Shore on "Boston Legal."
5. "Breaking Bad"
Simply one of the greatest TV dramas of all time and more addictive than meth. (Or so we imagine.)
6. "Burn Notice"
Ex-spy Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) must find out who burned him, assisted by his good friend Sam (Bruce Campbell), his ex-IRA girlfriend (Gabrielle Anwer) and chain-smoking mother (Sharon Gless) in this highly entertaining USA series.
7. "Californication"
David Duchovny starred for seven seasons in this just-wrapped Showtime series about a troubled novelist who can't stop drinking, womanizing and doing drugs.
8. "Chuck"
Ordinary geek Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi) accidentally gets a brain full of top-secret spy data in this hilarious comedy series.
9. "Damages"
Glenn Close is a ruthless lawyer, Rose Byrne her eager protegé. Will there be backstabbing, bitchery and dead bodies? Oh yes.
10. "Desperate Housewives"
This award-winning hit showed us that yes, most housewives lead lives of quiet (but very funny) desperation.
11. "The Fall"
Gillan Anderson is a cop investigating a string of grisly murders in Belfast. Jamie Dornan, star of the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Gray" film, is the serial killer she's pursuing.
12. "Freaks and Geeks"
In the 15 years since the short-lived cult show aired, James Franco, Jason Segal, Linda Cardellini, Seth Rogen have all gone on to bigger and better things since McKinley High.
13. "Fringe"
An FBI agent, teamed with an eccentric scientist and his bitter but brilliant son, explores inter-dimensional weirdness in this terrific sci-fi series.
14. "Longmire"
After being axed by A&E, this series about a Wyoming sheriff will have a have a fourth season, thanks to Netflix.
15. "Lost"
"We have to go back." Especially if you miss Sawyer, Sayid, Hurley, etal, as much as we do.
16. "Luther"
Idris Elba is fantastic as an obsessive cop in this British series that's just been slated for an American remake.
17. "Mad Men"
Come for the retro fashions, stay for the political jockeying and the fabulously sexy Don Draper and Joan Holloway.
18. "MI-5"
Before he was burning up screens as MLK in "Selma," David Oyelowo starred as a British spy alongside Matthew McFadyen ("Pride and Prejudice") and Keeley Hawes.
19. "Miami Vice"
You can't get more '80s than the "Miami Vice" opening theme, tough guys in pastels, and Don Johnson's trendsetting scruff.
20. "Rectify"
Critics loved this low-key drama about a man who spent nearly 20 years on death row before DNA evidence exonerated him and is now trying to rebuild his shattered life.
21. "The Returned"
In this atmospheric French series (which is getting a U.S. version, of course), the formerly dead are returning to life one by one. Their loves ones are determined to keep these reappearances secret, but soon the whole town is inundated, just like the part of the old town that's now under water.
22. "The Rockford Files"
They keep trying to remake this classic '70s series but you can never replace the late James Garner as the quintessential wisecracking tough P.I.
23. "Roswell"
Back when everyone didn't hate Katherine Heigl, she costarred on a nifty little show about aliens secretly living in Roswell, New Mexico.
24. "Sherlock"
Look, it's Benedict Cumberbatch solving crimes while wearing a stylish scarf (and sometimes only a bedsheet). What more do you want?
25. "Sons of Anarchy"
Jax and his motorcycle gang may be riding off into the sunset soon, (well, at least we hope so), so why not delay the inevitable and rewatch from the beginning?
26. "Terriers"
Loving Donal Logue on "Gotham?" Catch up with his well-loved but sadly short-lived detective series.
27. "Top of the Lake"
"Mad Men" star Elisabeth Moss won a Golden Globe for her role as a detective investigating the disappearance of a pregnant 12-year-old girl in New Zealand. Jane Campion ("The Piano") directed and co-wrote the 6-episode series.
28. "Torchwood"
This "Doctor Who" spin-off follows Captain Jack Harkness and his crew who track the really rather amazing amount of aliens who appear in Cardiff, Wales.
29. "Twin Peaks"
Cult shows don't get more strange than this David Lynch classic. A pie-loving FBI agent, a dancing dwarf, and the Log Lady: They're all here in this quirky mystery of who killed Homecoming Queen Laura Palmer.
30. "The Walking Dead"
Just the most-watched drama series in basic cable history, that's all.
31. "White Collar"
Sad that con artist Neal Caffrey (Matthew Bomer)'s adventures in this stylish USA series will wrap up for good this year? Why not revisit the first four seasons before the end?
