"Saturday Night Live" has announced its last three hosts of 2014, and the list includes two faces familiar to Studio 8H, and one first-time emcee.
James Franco -- who'll be promoting his new comedy with Seth Rogen, "The Interview" -- will kick things off on December 6, returning to host "SNL" for a third time. Nicki Minaj will serve as the musical guest, marking her second appearance on the program.
On December 13, Martin Freeman, who stars in the final installment of the "Hobbit" trilogy, "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies," will make his "SNL" hosting debut. The Emmy-winning "Sherlock" star will be joined by musical guest Charlie XCX, who is also making her first appearance on the show.
Finally, "SNL" will close out 2014 with Amy Adams, who's marking her second stint as host on December 20. The Oscar nominee will be supported by British boybanders (and recent "Sesame Street" guest stars) One Direction, who are performing on the program for the third time.
The 40th season of "SNL" continues this weekend with host Cameron Diaz and musical guests Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson.
