Chris Pratt's charming performance as Star-Lord in "Guardians of the Galaxy" has created a box office juggernaut. Basically, we'd line up to see him in anything. The word on the street (read: the Internet) is that Pratt will star in "Cowboy Ninja Viking," an adaptation of the graphic novel by writer A.J. Lieberman and artist Riley Rossmo.
If Pratt does sign on to star, he'll play a counter-intelligence agent named Duncan who was part of a creepy government program that takes advantage of people with multiple personalities, referred to at "Triplets." As you might imagine, this goes horribly awry! Duncan was the program's number one assassin, making him even more dangerous than the other Triplets. Unlike some of the other Triplets who turn to mercenary work to make ends meet, Duncan uses his crazy skills to hunt down the dude behind the Triplets program.
According to Collider, "We're told that per the latest draft of the script, the three different personalities (the Cowboy, the Ninja, and the Viking) physically manifest onscreen as three different people when Duncan switches personas, but to onlookers he still just looks like Duncan (ie. Pratt)." Sounds pretty rad. "Zombieland" writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese wrote the first version of the script, back when the project was at Disney, but it's not clear if that's the same script they'll be using for the movie now that it's landed at Universal.
In the meantime, Pratt's got "Jurassic World" coming out in June of 2015 and "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" lined up for 2017. Time to break out those celebratory tater tots!
