'Sharknado 3' to Ravage the 'Feast Coast' Next Summer

Sharknado, Sharknado 2

The first two "Sharknado" films brought skyborne sharks to Los Angeles and New York City. Not to be outdone, the third outing in the Syfy franchise will wreak havoc on the entire East Coast -- er, Feast Coast, that is.

In an announcement on the official "Sharknado" Twitter page, Syfy revealed that "Sharknado 3" would take on "the Feast Coast," raining down carnivorous creatures from Washington, D.C. to Orlando. It's unclear if any cast members from the first two films will reprise their roles.

"Sharknado" and "Sharknado 2: The Second One" starred Ian Ziering and Tara Reid as an estranged couple brought back together by the titular storm systems. Ziering reportedly wants a bigger paycheck for the third outing in the popular series, though production company Asylum may just move on to other former '90s stars for its leads. (Mark McGrath, Vivica A. Fox, and Kari Wuhrer also starred in "The Second One.")

There's no official release date yet for "Sharknado 3" -- which was greenlit back in April, before "Sharknado 2" premiered -- but expect it to hit Syfy sometime in summer 2015.
