Who doesn't love to laugh? Whether your taste runs to R-rated raunch, classic yuks or witty British humor, you'll find something hilarious to stream on Netflix.
Right now, there are movies starring Robin Williams, Walter Matthau, Jack Black, Goldie Hawn and a nice selection of films showcasing the comedy chops of Joan Cusack. (Availability subject to change, so get streaming now!)
1. "The Addams Family" (1991) PG-13
Everyone's favorite macabre family is wonderfully portrayed by Anjelica Huston as Morticia, Raul Julia as Gomez, Christopher Lloyd as Uncle Fester and Christina Ricci as Wednesday. Spooky fun, just in time for Halloween.
2. "The Bad News Bears" (1976) PG
Walter Matthau is a grumpy hoot as a reluctant little league coach, Tatum O'Neal is great as the tomboy pitcher and the Bears (including a young Jackie Earle Haley) are perfectly, awfully bad.
3. "Bernie" (2011) PG-13
Jack Black stars in the real-life story of a mortician who ends up even more beloved after murdering the town's richest - and meanest - woman (Shirley MacLaine). Richard Linklater directed, and even had the real-life Bernie live with him for a while!
4. "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" (1989) PG
Because it's always a good time for our favorite time-traveling duo.
5. "The Birdcage" (1996) R
Robin Williams and Nathan Lane pretend to be a straight couple to meet their ultra-conservative prospective in-laws. Favorite scenes: Williams demonstrating various dance styles and Gene Hackman in drag.
6. "The Brady Bunch Movie" (1995) PG-13
Against all odds, this goofy update on the classic TV show works perfectly by leaving the Bradys stuck in the '70s, even though it's the '90s. Shelley Long and Gary Cole are dead-on as the lovingly ditzy parents.
7. "Clerks" (1994) R
With "Clerks 3" set to film next summer, it's as good a time as any to revisit the first film that's been called "cheap, touching, and downright nasty."
8. "Clue" (1985) PG
Considered a disappointing flop when it first come out, this uproarious take on the age-old board game is ridiculously quotable and we couldn't love the cast - Madeline Kahn, Tim Curry, Michael McKean, Eileen Brennan, Lesley Ann Warren, Martin Mull and Christopher Lloyd -- any more.
9. "Crocodile Dundee" (1986) PG-13
We would have no idea what a knife really is without this Aussie hero.
10. "Don Jon" (2013) R
Joseph Gordon-Levitt wrote and directed this winning comedy-drama about a porn-obsessed guy on the make. And he smartly cast Scarlett Johansson as his love interest and Tony Danza as his dad.
11. "Down and Out in Beverly Hills" (1986) R
A Beverly Hills family takes in a homeless guy (Nick Nolte at his shaggiest) and he's soon changing their lives for the better. Cher Horowitz would totally approve. ("Clueless" is also streaming now. Enjoy.)
12. "Drinking Buddies" (2013) R
Critics found this comedy, about two co-workers at a craft brewery, "smart," "funny" and "refreshing." Just like we like our beer! Stars Olivia Wilde, Jake Johnson, Anna Kendrick and Ron Livingston.
13. "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" (1986) PG-13
Call in sick and rewatch this '80s John Hughes classic. The Sausage King of Chicago demands no less.
14. "Frances Ha" (2012) R
Greta Gerwig charms in this Noah Baumbach indie that's been compared to Woody Allen's classic "Annie Hall" (which is also currently streaming on Netflix.)
15. "Galaxy Quest" (1999) PG
By Grabthar's hammer, has it really been 15 years since this delightful send-up of (and loving homage to) "Star Trek" came out? Sounds like a compelling reason to watch it again. Hurry, before one of those things kills Guy!
16. "Good Morning Vietnam" (1987) R
Robin Williams was at his free-form best as disc jockey Adrian Cronauer, whose antics make him wildly popular on US Armed Services Radio station during the Vietnam war.
17. "Grosse Pointe Blank" (1997) R
John Cusack plays one of our favorite movie hitmen who reluctantly attends his 10-year high school reunion in this comedy with a fantastic alternative '80s soundtrack.
18. "Hitch" (2005) PG-13
Will Smith stars as New York "date doctor" Alex Hitchens who finds that none of his methods work on Eva Mendes.
19. "In & Out" (1997) PG-13
Kevin Kline plays a small-town school teacher who is outed by a former pupil, except he insists he's not gay! Joan Cusack received a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her hilarious turn as his hysterical, long-suffering fiancée.
20. "In a World..." (2013) R
Lake Bell wrote, directed and stars in this comedy about a woman who's competing for the job of a lifetime, movie trailer voice-over artist, with her arrogant father, who's known as the king of movie-trailer voice-overs.
21. "Mr. Mom" (1983) PG
Before he was Beetlejuice, Batman or Birdman (his new movie that's getting him tons of Oscar buzz), Michael Keaton was Mr. Mom, stay-at-home hubby to Teri Garr.
22. "The Naked Gun" (1988) PG-13
Incredibly silly hijinks and groan-worthy puns galore thanks to the team who brought you "Airplane."
23. "School of Rock" (2003) PG-13
Jack Black scams his way into a substitute teaching job at a prep school and recruits the students to play in his new band. Joan Cusack, once again, is a comic highlight as the uptight principal with a secret fondness for Stevie Nicks.
24. "Seems Like Old Times" (1980) PG
Goldie Hawn is a defense lawyer married to D.A. Charles Grodin, when ex-hubby Chevy Chase shows up, this time as a wanted bank robber. She agrees to keep him hidden, while juggling a visit from the Governor and her pack of unruly mutts. Comedy gold.
25. "Sleeper" (1973) PG
There are currently 10 Woody Allen comedies streaming on Netflix, including "Manhattan," "Annie Hall," and "Radio Days," but this early outing remains one of his funniest. Diane Keaton co-stars in this sci-fi send-up that includes Allen thinking he's Blanche DuBois and holding a dead dictator's nose hostage.
26. "Swimming With Sharks" (1994) R
Before Kevin Spacey was an evil employer in "Bad Bosses," he was terrorizing assistant Frank Whaley in this satire of the extremes of Hollywood ruthlessness.
27. "Team America: World Police" (2004) UR
The "South Park" team of Trey Parker and Matt Stone bring you this utterly tasteless world of marionettes, including the vocabulary-challenged Matt Damon, who can only say his own name. (Hey, has he met Groot?)
28. "The Trip" (2011) UR
British comedians Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon go on a road trip that involves male midlife crises, fine dining, and endless celebrity impersonations. A must for Anglophiles.
29. "Trading Places" (1983) R
One of the rare movies with "Saturday Night Live" alums that's actually hilarious: Two old moneybags debate nature vs. nurture by giving a rich white employee (Dan Aykroyd)'s job and house to a black street hustler (Eddie Murphy).
30. "Wayne's World" (1992) PG-13
Here's another excellent exception to the "SNL" movie rule, as Mike Myers and Dana Carvey find fame and fortune, thanks to their cable access show. Party on.
31. "Zoolander" (2001) PG-13
Where would we be without orange mocha frappuccinos, gasoline fights and models who are really, really, ridiculously good looking? Still waiting on that sequel, Ben Stiller.
