If Batman can get a prequel television series, so can Superman!
Or so claims Bleeding Cool, which floats the rumor that David Goyer (the screenwriter behind "Man of Steel" and the upcoming "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice") is attached to a TV project titled "Krypton." Goyer also co-wrote the pilot for NBC's new drama "Constantine."
The site doesn't have any details, but it's not a leap to imagine that "Krypton" would be set on the planet from which Superman hailed and feature his parents, Jor-El and Lara.
The "Batman" prequel "Gotham" debuted this season on Fox and is already a hit for that network. So, it wouldn't be surprising if DC Comics wanted to replicate that success. But since there's already been a prequel show about Clark Kent's youth ("Smallville"), it would make sense to go back even further.
