Best of Late Night TV: Ellen Pompeo's Secret Baby and Derek Jeter's Last Game (VIDEO)

If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night.

Ellen Pompeo made time out of her busy schedule of new motherhood to to talk to Jimmy Kimmel about how she kept the birth of her child a media secret. Because haven't you heard? She has a beautiful two-month-old infant!

Derek Jeter retired from the Yankees (traumatizing New Yorkers city-wide), and talked to Jimmy about the last game he played in Yankee Stadium. Also, we were treated to some footage of Jimmy at the event clapping like a maniac.

Sarah Silverman swung by "Late Night" and reminisced with Seth Meyers about her stint on SNL -- specifically the time she stabbed Al Franken in the head with a pencil.

Over on "Late Show," Johnny Galecki mused about how he believes in elves. Do with that what you will.

Andre Benjamin (aka Andre 3000!) also hit up "Late Show" to chat about playing Jimi Hendrix in his new film "Jimi: All Is By My Side," and told some pretty great stories about the legendary guitar player. Unfortunately, he didn't break into a solo on stage, but we can live in hope.
