Daniel Radcliffe will trade his wizard's robes for a magician's hat, with the "Harry Potter" star set to join the cast of "Now You See Me 2."
Co-star Michael Caine spilled the beans in an interview with HeyUGuys Thursday, telling the site that not only would he be returning for the sequel to the 2013 magician caper flick, but an actor who already knows a little bit about magic would be playing a member of his character's family.
"There's a sequel to 'Now You See Me' and we're shooting in London," Caine told the site. "I shoot in December, the whole of December in London, and my son is Harry Potter. I thought it'd be funny, me and Daniel Radcliffe as father and son."
That confirms a report from Deadline, which wrote Thursday that Radcliffe was in talks for the part. He joins Caine and fellow returning cast members Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Morgan Freeman, Woody Harrelson, and Dave Franco.
Radcliffe has a busy couple years ahead of him, thanks to roles in films including the Judd Apatow and Amy Schumer vehicle "Trainwreck," and "Frankenstein," playing the Igor to James McAvoy's titular doctor.
"Now You See Me 2" is due in theaters on June 10, 2016.
