There's Going to Be a 'Gilmore Girls' Reunion Next Summer

For one day only next summer, Austin, Texas is transforming into Stars Hollow, Connecticut, as the stars and creator of "Gilmore Girls" are set to stage a mini reunion.

Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel -- a.k.a. Lorelai and Rory Gilmore -- and Amy Sherman-Palladino have just booked an appearance at ATX Television Festival, set for June 4-7 in the Texas capital. The trio will hold a panel discussion in honor of the 15th anniversary of the debut of "Gilmore Girls," which premiered on The WB in 2000.

"So, after years of peace and quiet, these lunatics have chosen to get the chattiest chicks in the world back under one roof? Really? Okay. You asked for it," Palladino said in a statement. "'Gilmore' was the highlight of my ridiculous life. I can't wait to sit with these unbelievable broads and relive a time where sleep did not exist, where stress and coffee were mama's little helpers, and where we all dove into the deep end together to make something weird and very very cool."

We're eager to hear what behind-the-scenes info Graham, Bledel, and Sherman-Palladino spill, and hope they can offer us some sort of glimpse into what the future may have held for our favorite mother-daughter duo. Can someone book us a flight to Austin, stat?

In the meantime, we'll be catching up with our "Girls" on Netflix.
