The "Twilight Saga" isn't over yet!
Lionsgate and series author Stephenie Meyer announced that they're launching an initiative to create five short films about "Twilight" characters, all directed by women. The campaign is called "The Storytellers - New Creative Voices of 'The Twilight Saga'" and will debut exclusively on Facebook next year.
None of the films' stars will appear in the short films, though Kristen Stewart will be one of the judges selecting the directors. She'll be joined on the panel by Meyer, Kate Winslet, Octavia Spencer, Julie Bowen, "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke, producer Cathy Schulman and "Frozen" co-director Jennifer Lee.
A recent study showed that women are severely underrepresented in the film industry.
"The female voice is something that has become more and more important to me as I've worked in the film industry," Meyer said in a statement.
